This picture of Juliette is part of a sultry and mischievous tale of desire and lust within the walls of d'Ursel castle. A letter, written by two young countesses, had been hidden behind the wallpaper downstairs and remained there for centuries. As I read that letter, I heard the walls sigh, and the old, long-forgotten scandalous gossip came back to life before my eyes. This series has been showcased in the sultry exhibition Les Liaisons Désireuses at the Castle d'Ursel, 2024.
